Status Report #2: Digitalis

Digitalis is a massive undertaking, there is no other way to put it. But, we have already begun work on "Digitalis Prologue," a short film based upon Digitalis, which we expect to be completed in the next three to six months.

As we speak, our render farm is churning out the first complete shot from Digitalis. The render in the pipeline right now is the last low-resolution test, which allows us to verify the quality of our keyframe animation and dynamic simulation. Later this evening, we will be conducting a ten frame full resolution test. If all goes well, the two thousand plus final frames will begin rendering tomorrow.

The prologue is currently in Pre-Viz stage and it appears that principle photography will begin by August.
